If you’ve been with us since the very beginning, you’ll remember this:
Content Crib didn’t start in a conference room.
It didn’t start in a ballroom.
It didn’t even start in a polished “event space.”

It started in a mansion in the middle of the Las Vegas desert.

A mansion with questionable décor, a few concerning noises in the night, and a gate with something that might—might—have been a bullet hole. Depending on who you ask, it was either a BB gun, a rock chip, or a reminder that our security deposit was a bad bet.

But in that desert house, something started that none of us fully understood at the time.

A community.

Not an event.
Not a meeting.
Not a workshop.
A community.

And today, as we move toward Content Crib 6.0, that early spark in the desert has turned into something far bigger than I ever imagined.

Let me take you through it.

Let’s talk about why this has worked.
Let’s talk about what it’s become.
And let’s talk about how 1 + 1 = 3 turned into our core philosophy—our compass—our unfair advantage.

Part 1: The Unexpected Origin Story

Most communities are designed backwards.

Someone picks a logo.
Builds a slogan.
Opens a Facebook group.
And then they hope people show up.

Content Crib didn’t work like that.

We didn’t start with branding.
We didn’t even start with strategy.

We started with people.

People who were hungry for something real in a world filled with fake influence.
People who wanted to share without being judged.
People who wanted to go further, faster—together.

So there we were: a group of physicians, entrepreneurs, founders, marketers, executives, and creative misfits sitting around a living room wondering how we could help each other grow.

No screens.
No buzzwords.
No posturing.

Just true connection.

That was Content Crib 1.0.

And that’s the moment I realized the truth:

When the right people enter a room with the right intentions, the room becomes a multiplier.

1 + 1 doesn’t equal 2.
It equals 3.
And sometimes 30.

Part 2: The Power of Multipliers

Content Crib has grown into something people feel before they describe it.

There’s an energy when the group walks into a space.
There’s a hum when conversations start.
There’s an unmistakable feeling that says, “This isn’t another event. This is a catalyst.”

And here’s what has happened since that first gathering:

1. New businesses have been born.

Ideas that sat dormant for years suddenly found momentum.
Projects that were “someday” became “right now.”
Side hustles became real companies.

Some of the businesses created or expanded because of Content Crib now employ people, generate revenue, and change lives.

People realized they didn’t need permission—they needed collaboration.

2. New partnerships have formed.

A handful of attendees who barely knew each other walked out as co-founders.
Others began working together in ghostwriting, marketing, operations, video production, thought leadership, and content strategy.
Some realized they were the missing puzzle piece in someone else’s vision.

Trust was built so deeply and so quickly that partnerships formed faster in two days than they usually form in two years.

3. New mentors and advisors emerged.

In typical professional circles, mentorship is guarded and transactional.
At Content Crib, it’s natural.

Someone shares a story.
Someone else shares a solution.
A third person says, “Here, let me help you with that.”

Before you know it, a network of advisors forms without anyone asking for a favor.

4. Friendships—real ones—took root.

There’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who see your potential more clearly than you do.

People who challenge you without belittling you.
People who believe in your ability to reinvent yourself.
People who understand the highs and lows of entrepreneurship without needing a translation.

This community has created friendships that have outlasted jobs, companies, and industries.

Part 3: Why 1 + 1 = 3

Our community motto didn’t come from a branding agency.
It came from observation.

When one person shares knowledge and another person applies it, you get progress.

But when two people collaborate, learn from each other, build together, and multiply ideas, you get acceleration.

That’s 1 + 1 = 3.

But something even more powerful happened:
It moved beyond arithmetic.
It became exponential.

Because as more people joined, the connections didn’t add up—they compounded.

You didn’t just learn from one person.
You learned from twenty.

You didn’t just solve one challenge.
You saw solutions across industries.

The room became a living, breathing organism that generated possibilities on demand.

You can’t get that from YouTube.
You can’t get that from a webinar.
You can’t get that from a Slack group.

You get it from people showing up—in person—with humility, ambition, and generosity.

Part 4: What Makes Content Crib Different

There’s no stage.
There’s no spotlight.
No hierarchy.

Everyone is a student.
Everyone is a teacher.
Everyone leaves better than they arrived.

Here’s what separates this community:

1. We value wisdom over noise.

Thought leadership isn’t about volume.
It’s about clarity.
It’s about courage.
It’s about telling the truth—even when it’s uncomfortable.

2. We operate on generosity.

This is not a “what can I take?” room.
This is a “what can I give?” room.

Ironically, those who give the most receive the most.

3. We are allergic to perfectionism.

We care about authenticity.
We care about momentum.
We care about progress.

No one here flinches if you admit you’re stuck.
No one here rolls their eyes at a “crazy idea.”
We’ve seen enough crazy ideas turn into million-dollar businesses to know better.

4. We celebrate reinvention.

Some attendees come from medicine.
Some from tech.
Some from finance.
Some from entrepreneurship.

But the common theme is this:
Everyone is evolving.
Everyone is building the next version of themselves.
Everyone is stepping into a new identity shaped by thought leadership, content, and courage.

Part 5: The Journey to Content Crib 6.0

Every version of Content Crib has grown—not just in size, but in purpose.

  1. Las Vegas (1.0): The spark.

  2. Bentonville (2.0): The structure.

  3. Arkansas again for 3.0: The momentum.

  4. Portland, Maine (4.0): The expansion.

  5. Bentonville again (5.0): The deepening.

  6. And now, 6.0: The inflection point.

With each gathering, one thing has remained constant:

When we gather, people change. And when people change, their businesses and lives change.

Content Crib is no longer an event.
It’s a proving ground.
A think tank.
A launchpad.
A family.

We are now a community with history, stories, inside jokes, shared struggles, and wins that ripple across industries.

We’ve become a place where people come to find clarity, courage, and connections that last far beyond the weekend.

Part 6: What Comes Next

Content Crib 6.0 isn’t going to be business as usual.

It’s going to be a moment.

A moment where new careers pivot.
Where new businesses emerge.
Where new partnerships form.
Where attendees walk in with one identity and walk out as the next version of themselves.

Because this community is not static.
It’s alive.
And it’s growing.

And if you’ve ever wondered whether you belong in a room like this, let me answer that for you:

If you're someone who wants to grow, you belong.
If you're someone who wants to build, you belong.
If you're someone who wants to be known for your ideas, not your job title, you belong.

1 + 1 = 3.
It always has.
And it always will.

Why?

In a world where everyone is trying to stand out alone, the real advantage belongs to those who stand together.

You can do a lot by yourself.
But when you bring the right people into your orbit—
people who lift you, challenge you, and push you—
you become someone you couldn’t have become alone.

That’s the story of Content Crib.
And we’re only getting started.

See you next week,

Eric
