I just got back from Content Crib 5.0 in Bentonville, Arkansas — and I can tell you with absolute certainty: something powerful happened in that room.
Every Content Crib meeting has its own story.
But this one… this one felt different.
It wasn’t about social media strategy, algorithms, or tactics.
It was about people — the right people — showing up with the courage to be seen, the honesty to share, and the willingness to learn.
We didn’t just talk about building brands or thought leadership.
We talked about building ourselves.
And that’s what made Content Crib 5.0 so special.
The Energy in the Room
From the moment I walked in, I could feel it.
That quiet hum of anticipation before the first session started.
People meeting face-to-face for the first time after months — sometimes years — of connecting online.
Handshakes turned into hugs. Conversations turned into breakthroughs.
I’ve been part of hundreds of meetings and events over the years.
But there’s something about the way this community shows up — open, humble, and hungry to grow — that makes it unlike anything else I’ve seen.
We laughed, challenged each other, and took notes that weren’t just about content… but about clarity.
I watched people realize, sometimes for the first time, that their story mattered — that their voice had weight.
What People Took Home
One of my favorite parts of this weekend was hearing what people actually took away from it.
These weren’t surface-level takeaways. They were personal, powerful shifts.
Here’s what I saw and heard all weekend:
Clarity. People who came in unsure of what their message was left with a crystal-clear understanding of what they wanted to say and who they wanted to serve.
Confidence. I saw surgeons, sales executives, founders, and marketers who had never posted a single video stand up, hit record, and tell their story with conviction.
Community. People who met that morning left as accountability partners, collaborators, and, in many cases, close friends.
Momentum. Everyone walked out of Bentonville with a plan — not a vague idea, but a real direction for how to move forward.
One attendee summed it up perfectly in her post after the event:
“I’ve been to a lot of conferences, but I’ve never been to anything like this. I came home with not just ideas — but with people who believe in me.”
Another said:
“I walked in curious and left with clarity, conviction, and a group of peers I now call friends.”
That’s what Content Crib does.
It reminds people that growth doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens when you surround yourself with others who are walking the same path.
A Few Moments I’ll Never Forget
I’ll never forget watching Dr. Penhollow from the back of the room as she quietly scribbled notes during a session — and then stood up an hour later to share her story.
She talked about how she’d spent years helping patients tell their stories… but never told her own.
By the end of the weekend, she was ready to take on the world.
I’ll never forget the hallway conversations that stretched long past the scheduled sessions.
Two founders who had never met before suddenly realized they’d been solving the same problem from opposite sides of the table. By dinner, they were already talking about a joint venture.
And I’ll never forget the last session, when people shared what they were taking home.
One person said, “For the first time in a long time, I feel like I know exactly what I’m supposed to do next.”
That’s the kind of clarity you can’t buy. You can only experience it by being there.
What Makes Content Crib Different
I’ve been asked countless times:
“What makes Content Crib different from any other mastermind or event?”
My answer is simple.
We don’t create performers.
We create leaders — people who understand how to communicate with authenticity and lead with purpose.
There’s no ego in the room.
No competition.
No pretense.
Just people who are tired of pretending they have it all figured out, coming together to build something real — both online and offline.
As one attendee wrote afterward:
“It’s hard to describe what happened this weekend. I came expecting to learn strategy. I left remembering who I am.”
That’s what this is all about.
Not more tactics. More truth.
Why People Keep Coming Back
Some people have been to multiple Content Crib events now — from the bullet-riddled mansion in Las Vegas to Bentonville, Maine, and back again.
They come back because each one feels like a reset.
Because they know that every time they step into that room, they’ll meet new people who challenge them to think differently — and they’ll reconnect with old friends who remind them why they started.
One repeat attendee posted,
“I thought I knew what to expect, but 5.0 was different. Each event meets you where you are and takes you further.”
That’s the goal.
Because each time you come, you’re a different person — with new challenges, new ideas, and new goals.
And the room meets you there.
What’s Next
When the weekend ended, the energy didn’t stop.
I watched people post about what they learned, tag new friends, and make plans to collaborate.
I’ve already seen content series, videos, and brand ideas that were born right there in that room starting to take off online.
That’s the ripple effect of this community.
You can feel it long after you’ve left Bentonville.
And that’s why I’m already excited for what’s next.
